What are You Choosing to Think and Talk about Today? is it Negative or Positive?



Why is it that Thinking Negatively comes so much easier to us as a human race then Thinking Positively? Every where you go, especially online, you see people putting more effort into being negative than being positive; for example, when going to Youtube, I love reading the comments people leave, especially when it is a video I love to watch over and over again. Just to know you’re not the only person in the world that loves (You fill in the Blank) is a wonderful feeling. But why do most people feel the need to leave negative comments on videos they do not even like? Do they think that by leaving those negative comments, it’s going to help in some way? Do they even stop to consider the feelings of the person who made the video, who probably spent hours working on it, hoping that when they post it they will get thousands of views and hoping people will like it just as much as they do?

Hmm, probably not. I realize not everyone is going to like the same thing. Yes, you might watch a video and not like it (I know I have), but I don't go around leaving negative comments about it; that will always do more harm than good. In life, we need to Focus on , Think about, Talk about, all the things we Like and Want out of Life and Stop Focusing on, Thinking about, Talking about the things we Do not Like and Want. When we do this we become much happier people because we only allow Positive things into our lives. We stop focusing on negative things that can and will drag us down. Remember, Negative thoughts and feelings make us feel bad, whereas Positive Thoughts and feelings make us feel Good and who doesn't want to Feel Good? Right? I know I do. We have to realize that in every moment of every day we are sending out vibrations. When we are feeling bad, thinking negative thoughts, we are sending out negative vibrations and because like attracts like, we attract to us things we most likely do not want and we push away the things we do want. When we are feeling good, thinking positive thoughts, we draw to us all those things we want. It’s a matter of turning the magnet from the negative side to the positive side.

A few months ago I decided to start taking my cousin’s two daughters for a walk around the block, to get out of the house and start enjoying the beautiful weather we have here. Yes, it gets very hot but no matter where you live you have to find the beauty in everything around you. I noticed that every time we went for a walk the girls would complain about one thing or another and the things they did not like, so I came up with a game that every time they said something they did not like, they would have to tell me three things that they did like. When we started to play this game they would tell me, "I like the Sun" "I like the Library" "I like going for walks" and I noticed after a few days of playing this game, that there was a shift in their attitudes. They started reminding each other that if one of them complained they had to tell me three things that they liked. At first, to be honest, it’s going to be hard to try to start shifting you thoughts from thinking about and talking about the things you do not like, to the things you do like, but with anything and everything you do, the more and more you do it, the easier it will get. So every day when you catch yourself thinking or talking about something you do not like, tell yourself three things you do like, and Always Remember the Sunshine Dwells in You.
