How Finding a Penny a Day taught me about the Power of the Law of Attraction

I have always loved to go for walks, (maybe the fact that I do not know how to drive has something to do with it) but just getting out of the house getting some fresh air, whenever I am feeling couped up (as I am a homebody) always makes me feel better and it keeps me fit too which is a major plus. So I made a promise to myself to get out of the house and go for a walk everyday no matter what, and to help keep me motivated my cousin and I decide to go for walks together.

Around this same time, I really started to focus on the things I wanted in my life I made a list and started to focus and visualize everyday on how I wanted my life to be. In The Secret a few of the experts recommended that when asking the universe for something to start off small. To test the Law of Attraction I decided that I would ask the universe for a Penny, meaning it was my intention to find a Penny on the ground every time I went for a walk. But as the months went by,  I became more and more discouraged as no matter how hard I tried the Pennies were just not showing up, then it dawned on me I was trying to hard and in the process I was actually preventing the universe from delivering the Pennies to me.

Over the years I have found the best way to find something is to just stop looking for it, it may sound odd but I find that when, looking for something we are generally in a state of stress and when we are stressed we are actually  preventing ourselves from finding it, so whatever it is your looking for STOP do not look for it and you will find it, by the way just so you know this applies to all the area of our life.

After I realized what I was doing wrong I took a more relaxed approach  to it, rather then focusing on the Pennies, and trying to find them I just focused on the moment and enjoyed my walks with my cousin the funny thing about that was once I stopped looking, the Pennies seemed to flow into my life literally, everytime I went for a walk I was finding a Penny, whenever I spotted one on the ground  it made me feel like a child again ( like when I child finds a plain ordinary rock on the ground yet they treasure it like it was gold)

There was even a couple of times on my walk where my cousin was the one to find  the Penny, the first time, he found one he picked it up and gave it to me, which I was not expecting ( but then again the thing to remember is that the Universe always gives you what you put your focus on although it might not come in the way you expect)  the second time he found a Penny, was different as he was not so giving  instead of giving it to me, he placed the Penny in his pocket and kept it. When I sarcastically complained "Hey how come you didn't give it to me?  he just Smiled, and said "This ones mine"  as he Smiled , something told me to look down and as I did there it was a Nice New Shiny Penny, just waiting for me, when I saw it sitting there all I could do was Smile, because in that moment I realized the Power of the Law of Attraction, finding those Pennies just confirmed to me that we can BE DO or Have Anything we want no matter how big or small it is.

Even now to this Day every time I go for a walk I will still find a penny on the ground but instead of picking it up and keeping it I leave it on the ground for someone else as I have let the Pennies go realizing I need to start thinking big and allowing more abundance and wealth to enter my life.

Negative Thoughts or Positive Thoughts Which Thoughts will You Choose?

A few years ago I started learning about the Law of Attraction, I read and watched The Secret, I listened to Abraham Hicks, and what they taught me was that I am in CONTROL of my life,  everything that happens, happens because of the way I choose to think as well as what I choose to put my focus on.

I knew that I wanted to Attract only goodness into my life so I decided to started paying more attention to the thoughts I was thinking, and the way that I was feeling and what I noticed was my thoughts tended to be more negative then positive, so right there in that moment I chose to start replacing all my negative thoughts with positive ones, ( or at least try to) instead of looking at things with the cup half empty I started to  look at it with the cup half full. Growing up I loved to watch the Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday nights, its amazing to look back on movies that you use to watch as a child and notice the lessons they had within them for example in the movie Pollyanna the scene where she teaches the servants how to play the Glad Game,  When everyone one else around her was complaining about how they Hate Sundays she chose to remain positive instead of saying something negative about Sundays when questioned "What is so good about Sundays?" her response was "Because it will be six whole days before Sunday comes around again" her response was looking at Sundays with the cup half full where everyone else around her was looking at it with the cup half empty, Saying they hate Sundays because it meant that a new work week was beginning.

 In my own life an example of how I started to look at things in a more positive way is when a friend told me me that he would not really have a lot of of time to spend with me as he said he was going to be spending 8 months in Florida, instead of feeling down  I just  told him "Well that just means You will be in California for 4 months".

It all just comes down to how you choose to look at things, no matter what you are doing or where you are going, always do your best to find the positive in everything, Its all a matter of just flipping the coin from the negative side to the positive side, whenever a negative thought pops into your mind. At first when I started doing this I must admit it was hard, to keep track of all my negative thoughts  and attempt to find the positive side of any given situation, as the years have gone by though  its gotten easier and easier  So no matter what thought pops into your mind if its a negative thought  always do your best to replace it with a positive one, and Remember the Sunshine Dwells in You.

Learn How Singing and Dancing can Help You Attract Everything You Truly Want in Life

Growing up I always loved to sing and dance, no matter where I was, I usually had a stick in hand pretending it was a microphone or making up dances with my sister, and my cousins, although that usually only last a few minutes as they tended to lose interested rather quickly. I was not the best singer or dancer at the time but it always made me happy and joyful, and the most important thing to always remember is do what makes you happy.

When I first started learning about The Law of Attraction I learnt that its not so much the positive thinking, or the visualizing that acts as a magnet, but a combination of the two, which evokes your emotions and that is the real magnet, your emotions, for whatever you are feeling in the moment whether it is happiness, joy, anger, sadness, you are in fact in the process of radiating that emotion out to the universe like a beacon, and you will attract to you everything that corresponds with that energy. Now what energy you choose to radiate out in any given moment is all up to you.

I realized one day, when we are in a negative mood we have to do whatever we can to quickly shift it to a more positive one and the best way to do that I find is to as Lady Gaga says "Just Dance" I do not care if you can or can not dance just do it. Turn you favourite upbeat song on and dance, jump up and down it does not really matter, just get active with the music, and be silly. If you know the words to the song go a head a sing along, again, I do not care if you can or can not sing, its all about feeling the joy and the happiness within. When you are singing and dancing around how can you not help but feel happiness and joy.

So the next time you start to feel a negative emotion turn your favourite song on and dance, jump around, feel that joy within and radiate it out, and always remember The Sunshine Dwells in You.
